P.A.L. Mission Founder & Director, Jill Miller,
was recently inducted into the Stark County
Women's Hall of Fame sponsored by the YWCA of
Canton, Ohio.
 
Jill was nominated by Deborah Robinson
and Suzie Thomas, both from Malone University. 
 
Joining Jill in the 20th inductee class were:
Dr. Margaret Egbert, Lisa Hicklin, Dr. Grace Hofsteter,
Dr. Faith Kittoe and Cecelia Ramsey.
 
 
 
Jill Miller, Director

A native of Canton, Ohio, Jill attended Heidelberg College and graduated from Malone College with a degree in Sociology. She began her social work career in the field of juvenile justice with the Ohio Youth Commission. Concurrently, she served as the Girl's Director at the local YMCA developing and supervising girls programming and developing and directing a teenage job program entitled "Rent-A-Kid".

In 1980, she began a lengthy career spanning nearly 20 years at the Summit County, Ohio Children Services Board. While there, she was honored as Social Worker of the Year in 1994 and received a National Merit Award from the Child Welfare League of America. Jill left the agency in 1999 to pursue her vision and God's purpose in her life and opened the P.A.L. Mission.

Jill is a recipient of the following honors:   Malone College Alumni Merit Award, Canton Excellence Award for Community Service, Multi Development Services of Stark County Golden Dove Award and is a 2010 inductee into the Stark County Women's Hall of Fame.
