
Jill Miller, Director
A native of Canton, Ohio, Jill attended Heidelberg College and graduated from Malone College with a degree in Sociology. She began her social work career in the field of juvenile justice with the Ohio Youth Commission. Concurrently, she served as the Girl's Director at the local YMCA developing and supervising girls programming and developing and directing a teenage job program entitled "Rent-A-Kid". In 1980, she began a lengthy career spanning nearly 20 years at the Summit County, Ohio Children Services Board. While there, she was honored as Social Worker of the Year in 1994 and received a National Merit Award from the Child Welfare League of America. Jill left the agency in 1999 to pursue her vision and God's purpose in her life and opened the P.A.L. Mission. Jill is recipient Malone College Alumni Merit Award, Canton Excellence Award for Community Service and a Golden Dove Award from Multi Development Services of Stark County. Jill and her husband Charlie, a teacher and coach, reside in Canton. They are the parents of Fernando Moreira and his wife, Kerly and their sons, Marc and Bruce, of Florida.
